Ms. Ellie

Hello, my name is Ms. Ellie, and I am very excited to teach 6th grade Minnesota Studies this year! This is my third year at Battle Creek after working here as a para and teaching science. I studied History and African Studies at the University of Minnesota, and I earned my Masters at Metro State in St. Paul. 

I am passionate about creating a positive community and culture in the classroom while also thinking about big ideas in history. In my class, we will learn about Indigenous history, immigration, our own histories, and social justice issues in our communities. We will also be participating in History Day and become masters of research! 

When I’m not teaching, I love baking, reading, and being outside. My favorite tree is the Aspen, and my favorite school is Battle Creek!
