Hello! My name is Samantha Monson (Ellestad) one of the Federal Setting 3 ASD/DCD teachers at Battle Creek Middle School. The 2025-2026 school year will be my fifth year teaching at BCMS.
In our classroom we work hard to create a positive community where learners make progress on their academic, behavioral, and life skills goals. We work to foster independence and skills that will help all students succeed as they grow in their academic career and become independent members of their community. Through hands on learning, community simulations, and individualized tasks it is our goal that each student see themselves in their work, learn skills that they will take with them beyond the walls of our classroom, and create positive relationships through it all!
