Our Principal

I have proudly served as the principal of Battle Creek Middle School since July 2021. As a proud graduate of Saint Paul Public Schools, I bring more than 22 years of experience within the district, deeply rooted in our shared values of equity, inclusion, and academic excellence.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the College of Saint Benedict, a Master of Science in Education in School Counseling from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, and an Educational Specialist Degree with Principal Licensure from Concordia University, St. Paul.

My career began as an educational assistant at Central Senior High School. I then served as a secondary school counselor for ten years at both Central and Harding Senior High Schools, followed by a year as an administrative intern at Harding. I continued my leadership journey as assistant principal at Como Park Senior High School for five years before stepping into my current role at Battle Creek.

Throughout my career, I have remained committed to educational equity and to fostering an inclusive, supportive school environment where every student feels a strong sense of belonging and is empowered to thrive. I believe that cultivating a positive school culture is essential for student success.

I look forward to continuing our collaborative work with families, students, staff, and the broader community as we build on the strengths of Battle Creek Middle School.
